digital platform conference compass is a web app which includes a virtual event platform. the web app allows access to the virtual event platform (where you will access all the presentations and networking for the event series); you can access it using a link in your web browser.

technical requirements to access the virtual event platform via the web app it is highly recommended that you use google chrome as it provides stable and consistent access to the virtual event platform. firefox and microsoft edge are compatible with the web app dependent on browser settings. the web app is not compatible with internet explorer or safari. you will require a high speed-internet connection (1 mbps minimum, although 10+ mbps will ensure the best quality). |

tech tips
- have your camera and microphone set-up to
participate in group discussions or one-to-one meetings (if you have been using
these in zoom/teams this should already be set-up).
- if you experience issues with your connection,
try switching to google chrome (if you are using another web browser), close
any other open applications that you are not using and refresh the page using
cmd+shift+r (for mac) or shift+f5 (for windows).

creating an account when prompted, please enter your email address and set-up a
password; the email address you use must be the same one you used to
book your place.
once you have signed in, you will be asked to set-up a
profile, allowing other attendees to see some basic details about you. |

top tips for creating an account - you must be signed in to access event
presentations. you could set your web browser to remember your password to make
signing in quick and easy.
- to make changes to your account, click the arrow
next to your name in the top right-hand corner and select my profile to
fill in any missing details. the only mandatory information is your name, but
it does not have to be your real one if you would prefer to stay anonymous.
- have a look around the platform before the event
starts to familiarise yourself – you can view the programme and save
sessions to add them to my programme.
