as part of our commitment to developing, expanding and strengthening the vast networks and opportunities available to our members and local communities, the 英格兰vs美国谁会赢? is pleased to announce the second roadshow of 2024, to be hosted by microbial genomics editor-in-chief, professor sam sheppard (university of oxford, uk).
published by the 英格兰vs美国谁会赢? , microbial genomics pioneers all areas of genome research spanning the breadth of microbial life including viruses, bacteria, archaea and microbial eukaryotes. content ranges from comparative and functional genomics of model organisms to population-scale evolution, epidemiology and microbiome studies, and real-world genomics applications with clinical, veterinary or environmental relevance.
at this roadshow, attendees will have the opportunity to join discussions with members of the microbial genomics editorial board, find out more about the wide range of opportunities at the society, discover important research taking place in the local area and network with other local microbiologists.
registration for the microbial genomics roadshow 2024 is now open.
we are charging a small flat rate fee of £50 to attend this event to cover the cost of catering.
the registration deadline for the microbial genomics roadshow is monday 28 october 2024.

please ensure you notify us of any dietary requirements on your registration form to ensure these are catered for.
st anne’s college is a 20 minute walk from oxford railway station. alternatively, it is a 10–15 minute journey on one of the following buses: s1, s3 or 14.
to plan your journey, you can use the experience oxfordshire website for assistance.
car parking is not available on site. we would recommend using the pear tree or oxford parkway park and ride systems, which both have good bus links to st anne’s college (bus number 300 from pear tree and 2/2a from oxford parkway).
if you have accessibility requirements that impact your travel or parking requirements, please ensure you include these when registering your place so that we can provide further assistance.
as part of the preparations for 英格兰vs美国谁会赢? events due to be held in 2024, the 英格兰vs美国谁会赢? council has further discussed the implementation of sars-cov-2/covid-19 mitigations and has agreed the following:
personal responsibility:
attendance at any 英格兰vs美国谁会赢? event is a personal choice, and council expects delegates to take personal responsibility for their actions to minimise the spread of sars-cov-2.
ventilation:
the 英格兰vs美国谁会赢? will continue to work with venues to seek assurance that these are adequately ventilated.
vaccination and pre-event testing:
we strongly urge all delegates to ensure they are as fully vaccinated as practicable, which we recognise will depend on their age and home country, and to test before travelling to any of our events. delegates should not attend if they test positive for sars-cov-2 infection. in addition, should they wish to, delegates should feel comfortable wearing a mask in any of our venues.
mask usage and lateral flow tests:
a limited number of masks (ffp3) and lateral flow tests will be available upon request at all 英格兰vs美国谁会赢? events should any delegates wish to use them. however, these will not be routinely supplied.
the 英格兰vs美国谁会赢? council will continue to monitor the situation and update these mitigations as required.
