on 17–20 april 2023, we hosted annual conference 2023 in icc birmingham. we’ve turned to twitter to take a look back at some of the highlights!
in anticipation of #microbio23, our delegates were looking forward to four days of scientific symposia, workshops, fora, professional development sessions, prize lectures, hot topics and much more!
our delegates were excited to attend the conference and see everyone, for many delegates it was their first time attending!
students from the quadrum institute were looking forward to sharing their posters.

one of our exhibitors, adam, from cellexus was looking forward to showcasing their cellmaker bioreactor.

prize lectures
we were delighted to host several prize lectures throughout the week, presented by our eminent microbiologists adrian hill, wendy barclay, sharon peacock, ravindra gupta, iruka okeke, tanmay bharat, kalai mathee and jonathan tyrrell. the talks featured their significant scientific contribution to the field of microbiology from across the world!
