the society offers funds to support members organising scientific meetings or other local events of relevance to early career microbiologists

awards of up to £5,000 for organising any education, outreach or public engagement work that promotes the art and science of microbiology are available to full, full concessionary and postgraduate student members.

society-supported conference grants
awards of up to £2,000 are available to members who wish to organise a conference (in person or virtual) in any field of microbiology, either independently or in partnership with another society.
